Hey there
I am a local reporter telling impactful stories. I work as a service journalism reporter at The Kansas City Star, my hometown paper. Every day, I answer reader’s questions and share news you can use.
While I usually report on a little bit of everything, I contribute to newsroom-wide efforts to cover Missouri’s 2024 ballot questions, a proposed new Royals stadium and the unique landmarks of Kansas City.
I previously worked at the Myrtle Beach Sun News in South Carolina, writing breaking and enterprise stories for a small newspaper. In addition, I interned at KCUR and WNYC’s On the Media. During my time at Wellesley College outside of Boston, I majored in English and studied abroad in Spain.

Sourcing
I interviewed reluctant government officials and everyday residents for my story about the end of beach wheelchairs in Myrtle Beach.
researching
I found images and quotes from the early 1900s for a story about a Kansas City building that is a mix between a dance hall and a house.
timely reporting
When information was sparse, I published multiple stories about urgent events including Hurricane Idalia and the mass shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl Rally.
